We just finished spring break. I have been to Rome a couple of times before and this time it was nice showing the kids around, but I needed to do something different. I had never seen the Bocca della Verita, the Mouth of Truth. I started telling the kids about it in the morning. By the late afternoon when we got to the Church where it was, Paris was too afraid to put her hand in the mouth!
Tag at the Colosseum.
Gelato and the Spanish Steps.
They will return- they each threw in a coin at the Trevi Fountain. Spending these few days in warmer weather has re-affirmed that we so have to live in a warm climate. What a difference it makes!
And then we went to the Giza Plateau. Just kidding. There was a proper pyramid in rome too.

So awesome. I miss you guys! I've been dreaming of going back to Italy for months now.
Sweet photos! I want the pictures to get giant when I click on them though!
What great parents you are to open up the world to your children. They will have sweet memories of being in special places together.
Richard, remember when you and Jack were together and saw Monet's waterlilies for the first time?
Glad you went on your honeymoon to Europe. You started good traditions for your family.
and I just wanted to say: that photo of Paris at the mouth is so adorable. I love her!!!
All of their hair is getting darker. Can't wait to see in real life!
your children have GROWN!!!
We went by the Mouth of Truth and the line was eternally long,so we skipped it. What a great pic with Paris refusing. Someday when we're both independently wealthy, we'll have to make the trip together.
Oh and I agree with the warmer climate. I told Jon that last week. Warmer than Baltimore? Yes dear. Just a touch.
